Obituary of Robert B. Woodworth Jr.

Robert B. Woodworth Jr., age 82, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on May 20, 2025, at Maris Grove – Rose Court. Born in Wilmington, DE, to Robert B. Sr. and Margaret E. (McCormick) Woodworth, Bob had recently resided in Glen Mills for the past two years. Previously, he lived in Hockessin,DE and Landenberg, PA. Bob was the owner and operator of University Auto Care, a service station in Newark, DE, where he served the community for over 35 years. A devoted man of faith, he was a lifelong member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Bob also cherished spending winters in Bonita Springs, FL, where he enjoyed the warmth and beauty of nature. Bob loved spending time outdoors, he loved gardening, feeding the birds, and was known for being handy. More than anything, he treasured spending time with his family. Bob and Carole traveled extensively. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his beloved son, Peter Woodworth, who passed away in 2002. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carole B. (Botluk) Woodworth; his daughter, Jill (Milton) Simonds; and four cherished grandchildren: Timothy Woodworth, Ryan (Michelle) Woodworth, Alexander (Kristen) Simonds, and Zachary (Hannah) Simonds, and three great grandchildren; Bryson, Genevieve, Verity.
