Memories of Don Woolson
The first time I met Don was in Ocean City. I was about 12 years old. Uncle Vince and I had gone to Ocean City for the day to visit his sisters, Averril, Anna, Helen and Mary Dolaway. We were having lunch and I think Barry mentioned that Don was coming to pick her up.
The next time was the occasion of a military ball at the Pennsylvania Military College. He was in a full military uniform. Barry had a magnificent gown. I thought they were the most elegant couple.
Happily I would get to know Don’s wonderful parents, Mary and Lem Woolson.
I spent several weeks of summer vacation as a young teenager with Mary and Lem at their lovely house along the bay in Ocean City.
Don, like his parents, was always a very positive person and a loving husband and father.

Dear Libby, Kevin and Mary and family,
Your dear dad was such a sweetheart. If there was ever an open seat next to him on the deck at 500 I would finagle my way into it. I loved to hear him talk, especially about OC and growing up there. He knew so much about so many things and was such an interesting person. All the kids adored him and loved to be around him as well. He always remembered their interests and activities and that meant so much to them.
He was a kind and gentle man and I see so many of his lovely qualties (and your mom's!) in you all. All of us cherish the memories we have of our summers with you and your family. He will never be forgotten.
With love,
Cheryl

Dear Kevin, Mary and Libby,
Our hearts and prayers go out to you on the loss of your dad.
Peggy and I were most fortunate to have him as a good friend as well as a well loved family relative. We shared many times together discussing lifetime experiences that were of equal importance to us. Even though we only knew each other since the engagement and wedding of Libby and Steve, it is like it has been a lifetime friendship that we value deeply.
Don will be sorely missed.

Dear Mary, Kevin and Libby
I am so sorry to learn of your dad's passing. During this last year, we had a wonderful visit with him at Westley Enhanced Living and he was so proud to show us around his apartment and share stories of his "reserved" seat at the bar where he sat for his meals. He walked us around the library and we sat outside and had about an hour together - Joe, myself, Tina, Paul and Chris. It was indeed a special time..
Your father was always so kind and nice to us and to our family, especially the few times we stopped at their condo in Ocean City and had hoagies on the bay and/or took a swim in the pool.
I know there is a deep loss felt at this time. Your dad was a large figure in your lives and much loved.
Love, and prayers
Rosemary and Joe
