Obituary of Rex Eugene Smock

Rex Eugene Smock, age 70, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 24, 2025.

Born in Chester, PA to the late Walter and Eleanor Smock, Rex spent the past 30 years living in Wilmington, DE. He previously resided in the Chichester/Ogden area of Pennsylvania.

Rex dedicated 30 years of his career as a chemical operator at Honeywell. Prior to that, he worked for Phoenix Steel Company and Congoleum.

A true car enthusiast, Rex loved buying and fixing up cars in his spare time. He also had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed listening to talk radio at home throughout the day. Above all, Rex cherished the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Williams.

Rex is survived by his beloved partner of 27 years, Pamela Farraday Smock; their children James Rose, Eric Rose, and Michelle (Frank) Raiger; their grandchildren Alyssa, Francis, Adrianna, Ethan, Stacia, Tonya, Valerie, JJ, Briana; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7th from 12:30 PM- 1:30 PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a 1:30 PM Memorial Service.
