Obituary of Wesley McKinney

Wesley McKinney, age 82, of Claymont, DE passed away on April 19, 2025 at Christiana Hospital, Newark. Wesley was born and raised in Upland, PA by his parents, William and Emily (nee Fraim) McKinney. He resided in Claymont since 1990, previously from Upland, PA. He was a member of Local 1069 & worked at Boeing Helicopters as a pipefitter before retiring in 2002. Wesley loved hunting, target shooting, yard sales and spending time at his mountain home at Roaring Creek Forest in Catawissa, PA. He was a member of the NRA and most recently joined Iron Faith Fellowship Church in Wilmington, DE. In addition to his parents, Wesley is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Carol McKinney, a brother, William J McKinney, and 2 sisters, JoAnn Creshine and Gloria Shaw. He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Staci) McKinney and Wesley (Debra) McKinney Jr., 2 siblings, Bernice (Thomas) Moore and James (Colleen) McKinney, his step-grandson Brandon (Ashley) Glenn, his step great-grandchildren, Brendan and Aubree Glenn, and many nieces and nephews. A viewing for Wes will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 9:00-10:00 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Service at 10AM.
