We were lucky enough to have Wes as a neighbor for a few years. He'd always have a hello and a wave ready when he saw us. When the power would go out, Wes would run an extension cord from his house to ours so the things in our fridge wouldn't go bad. I know losing Carol hit him hard, and knowing he's now reunited with her again makes the sadness a little less. Wes was a kind and generous guy, and we will surely miss him, but we are thankful we had a chance to know him.

Wes was such a kind and special soul. I will truly miss seeing him beyond my backyard waving up at me each day. Rest in peace as you rejoin your love Carol my special friend.
Prayers to the McKinney family but know that you now have 2 special angels (Carol and Wes) to watch over you.
With love,
Pam

I loved this man like my biological father. He treated me like his daughter and consistently told me he loved me! He stayed with me for 5 days while Wes worked in Amarillo to protect me from any harm. We spent a lot of time together and spoke on phone several time a day since my MIL passed. He said he would never want to hurt me because I took such good care of him. He would bring merchandise over for me to sell on FB marketplace and tell me to keep the money. He was very generous. He also was happy my mom and sister would check in him regularly. I loved going to church with him. Hawaii was the best trip with both of them! We had plans for more trips that didn’t transpire due to their demise. I loved them so much I wanted to take them on vacations to make wonderful memories as we made numerous memories up the mountains and here at home. I love you pops and miss you tremendously! I know you’re in heaven with mom! Last Sunday you rejoiced with your hands held high to God saying you truly felt the presence of the Lord, and then he took you home the next Saturday. I will see you again one day my adorable pops! Say hi to my dad and grandparents for me, as well as mom! I did my best to help you these last 8 months. Enjoy glorious heaven and being in the presence of Jesus and the love of your life!!!
