Obituary of George M. McClellan

George M. McClellan, age 84, of Upper Chichester, PA, passed away on April 11, 2025, at Regal Heights Nursing Home in Hockessin, DE.

Born in Bethel Township, PA, to the late George Gifford McClellan and Alice May McLaughlin, George was a lifelong resident of Upper Chichester. He worked as a machinist for National Rolling Mill in Malvern, PA, dedicating over 30 years to the company.

In his younger years, George had a passion for riding motorcycles. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Cornelius Church. A devoted sports fan, he cheered faithfully for the LA Rams and LA Dodgers. He especially enjoyed seafood cookouts with his beloved late wife, Carol.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hinderer McClellan, and his brother, James McClellan.

He is survived by his son, Shawn (Sandra) McClellan; his brother, Michael (Diane) McClellan; sisters, Patricia (Don) LaMarca and Alice (Jerry, deceased) Steppke; grandchildren Rylan, Brody, and Chase McClellan, and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, where visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Lawn Croft Cemetery.
