Obituary of John J. Moloney

John J. Moloney, age 85, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on March 21, 2025, at Foulk Living.

Born and raised in Chester, PA, John was a longtime Wilmington resident for over 50 years. A dedicated mechanical engineer, he built his career at ICI Americas - AstraZeneca before retiring in the 1990s.

John was a proud graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1957. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan, especially when it came to the Eagles. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Audress Frasch Moloney, and his beloved daughter, Lisa A. Ribeiro, who passed in August 2023.

John is survived by his children, John J. Moloney III and Susan L. Ryan; his sister, Denise Moloney; and six grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
