Obituary of Joseph Peter Casey

Joseph Peter Casey, 61, of Upper Chichester, PA, passed away on March 13, 2025, at his home.

Born in Springfield, PA, to Lemuel and Catherine Adorno Casey, Joseph lived most recently in Upper Chichester for the past 20 years, after having spent his earlier years in Folcroft, PA. A proud graduate of Sharon Hill High School, Class of 1982. Joseph had a varied career, starting out as a pipefitter before transitioning to a used car manager.

Joseph, who was lovingly referred to by all as Casey, was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He had hobbies that brought him so much joy, such as spending hours in the garage fixing things and being an expert on all things car related. Casey loved different kinds of birds and visiting John Heinz National Wildlife where he would capture breathtaking images with his camera. He also loved to spend time in the kitchen making his famous "Casey's Meatballs". It was one of the ways he showed his love for others and because of that everyone always requested them. Casey also loved his two dogs, Jax and Milo, his best buds. Football was also one of his passions. He was a dedicated Eagles fan and a past coach for the Folcroft Falcons. He was a devoted coach and was loved by many of his former teammates. Growing up in Folcroft, Casey was well known for his personality, his wisdom and accomplishments. He continued that legacy when he moved to Upper Chichester. He was the guy that everyone could lean on, his entire life. He was always willing to lend an ear, give advice and give you the shirt off his back, whatever was needed. He was funny, kind and a loyal friend. Casey was loved by so many; his community, his neighbors and his friends, but most of all by his family. He cherished every moment spent with his family, particularly his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered forever and held close in all our hearts.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel and Catherine Casey, his brother, Frank (Diane aka "Bunni") Casey, and his sister, Melody (Jack) McKnight. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Rosemarie Benigno Casey; children, Joseph (Ashley), Jenna (Steve) Rule, Gabrielle Casey, sister, Patricia Riccio (Lou); and grandchildren, Jovani and Teagan, plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association diabetes.org. Online condolences may be offered at www.paganofuneralhome.com.
