Obituary of Jean P. Faulkner

Jean P. "GiGi" Faulkner, age 100½, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at Forwood Manor.

Born in Chester, PA, and raised in Trainer, Jean spent the past five years at Forwood Manor in Wilmington. Prior to that, she resided in the Northcrest community for 42 years.

Jean dedicated over 50 years to her career in sales, working for Miller's Furniture, Tollin's Furniture, and Strawbridge & Clothier before retiring. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Holy Child.

Jean had a passion for gardening, music, dancing, crafts, and crossword puzzles, but above all, she cherished time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Nellie (Gorak) Petryk, as well as her siblings, Eleanor Walls, Florence, Phyllis, Eugene, and Henry Petryk. Jean is survived by her three sons, Ernest (Rosie), David (Barbara), and Eugene (Kathy) Faulkner; six grandchildren, David, Lauren (Tim), Erin (Will), Jenna (Sam), David (Rhonda), and Nancy Jean (David); 11 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Forwood Manor for their compassionate care and support.
