Obituary of Splendora DiMarino

Splendora DiMarino, age 94, of Upper Chichester, PA, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on March 12, 2025. Born and raised in Chester, PA, Splendora had been a resident of Upper Chichester for the past 75 years. She was a graduate of Immaculate Heart of Mary Commercial School, Class of 1946. A devout Catholic, Splendora was deeply devoted to her faith. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Child and a former member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she served as president of Lourdes Seniors. Additionally, she was an active member of Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Church, the Mt. Carmel Society, and the Cultural Arts Forums at Neumann University. Splendora had a passion for life and found joy in cheering for the Phillies and Eagles, reading, cooking, and baking. However, nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Sophie Savini DiMarco; her husband of many years, Louis DiMarino, who passed in 2022; her son-in-law, Ted Fleck; her brother, Peter Muscella; and her sister, Virginia Roepke. She is survived by her nine children: Nicholas (Diane) DiMarino, Janice DiMarino, Theresa (James) Venello, Gabriel (Lori) DiMarino, Diane Fleck, Donna Marie (Francis) Grace, Louis (Kevin Hanks) DiMarino, Stephen (Michele) DiMarino, and Richard (Kassandra) DiMarino. She was a cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 19 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, March 16th, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, and again on Monday, March 17th, from 10:00 – 10:45 AM at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM, with interment at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
