Obituary of Harry Andrew O'Neill

Harry Andrew O'Neill Sr., age 88, of West Grove, PA, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2025. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Catherine Marie Henderson.

 

Harry spent the past 22 years in West Grove, having previously lived in Springfield and Upper Darby/Westbrook Park. He dedicated many years of his career to Abbott and Lehigh Valley Dairies, working as a driver-salesman before retiring after 45 years.

 

A devoted member of his community, Harry was actively involved in numerous organizations. He served as President of the Westbrook Park Boys Club and Bert Bell Football Conference and was a faithful usher at Holy Cross Church for 45 years. He was also a proud 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and a union representative for Teamster Local No. 463.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Joan Moore O'Neill, who passed in 2020; his son, Stephen William O'Neill who passed away in 1966; and his sister, Marie Wahl.

 

He is survived by his loving sons, Harry O'Neill Jr. (Karen) and Stephen E. O'Neill (Corey); six cherished grandchildren, Jason O'Neill (Sarah), Jeremy O'Neill, Eric O'Neill, Scott O'Neill, Jacob O'Neill, and Joshua O'Neill; and two adored great-grandchildren, Rileigh O'Neill, Jason O'Neill Jr., five step-grandchildren, Olivia Williams, Stella Williams, Tessa Williams, Jake Ippoliti (Shawna) and Ali Ippoliti. He is also survived by his dear sister, Catherine Callahan, as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Church in Springfield, PA, where a Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
