Obituary of Marie E. Golden

Marie Golden, 92, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on February 23, 2025, at Maris Grove Senior Living Center. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Marie spent the past five years as a resident of the Maris Grove community in Glen Mills, PA, after living in Chadds Ford for 30 years. A devoted homemaker, she was a longtime member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Wilmington, DE. Marie found joy in reading, traveling, and sharing dinners with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Helen E. (Norton) Draves; her beloved husband, Ronald Golden, who passed in 2022; and her sister, Helen Pappa. Marie is survived by her three children, Donna (David) Zummo, Lisa (Adam) Young, and Gary (Betty) Golden; seven grandchildren, Keith, Julie, Krista, Justin, Marielle, Shane, and Chase; and 13 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 28, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 7 Sharpley Road, Wilmington, DE. Interment will follow at SS.
