Obituary of Barbara R. Foster

Barbara R. Foster, age 94, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away on February 19, 2025, at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. Born in Marcus Hook and raised in Upland, PA, Barbara was a longtime resident of Garnet Valley for the past 35 years, having previously lived in Brookhaven, PA. She was a graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1948, and spent over 20 years as an office manager for Orthopedics Association before retiring. A devoted member of Upland United Methodist Church, Barbara found joy in singing with the church choir. She loved shopping, spending time at her beach house in Cape May Courthouse, and, most of all, cherishing moments with her family. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Caroline Breswitz Reese; her beloved husband, Jack W. Foster, who passed in 2003; her brother, E. Thomas Reese, and sister-in-law, Joyce Reese. She is survived by her three children, LuAnn Foster, Lawrence Foster, and Lisa Foster-Flanagan; four grandchildren, Heather (George) Speece, Ryan (Moira) Foster, Cory (Hayla Shank) Foster, and Cora Flanagan; 11 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Thomas Robert Reese. Family and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, February 24, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM.
