Aunt Katherine,
Though really our cousin, Mom-Mom and Mom had us call you Aunt Katherine as a sign of love and respect. And boy did you have our love and respect! Going to Aunt Katherine’s was a highlight of my childhood, as I know it was for my siblings and for my Mom. Occasionally I would sneak over to Brendan’s! But your home was always warm, welcoming, full of love and laughter and stories! And there was always someone there or stopping in! Any time I even heard your name, I would ask mom and dad if we could visit. After we moved to Jersey, and I became a teenager, you became my penpal for years. And I always got so excited to receive a letter back from you, in your perfect penmanship. You shared stories and family history only you would remember of my mom-mom, the Ryan Sisters, and of Mamie. You were always kind, gentle and loving. Your life made this world a better and brighter place, and you leave a beautiful legacy. To the Stover family, I am so very sorry for your loss. The loss of a mother is indescribable and there are no real words. May God comfort you and give you strength in the days ahead. Aunt Katherine, give my parents and your aunt Lou a special hug from me. I know the Lord welcomed you with open arms.
