Obituary of Dorothy Mae Covington

Dorothy Mae "Dottie" Covington , age 96 of West Grove, PA passed away on January 28, 2025 at Jenner's Pond Retirement Community. Born and raised in Twin Oaks, PA, Dottie resided for the past 2 years in West Grove, PA, previously residing in Maris Grove, Middletown, DE and Boothwyn, PA. An office manager, Dottie worked for Diamond Ice and Coal in Chester, PA. She enjoyed playing Pinochle and was a member of a Pinochle Club where she supplied food and did the accounting. She loved traveling with her family and going to peach festivals. She received honors for donating to the Senior Center MOT (Middletown, Odessa, Townsend). In addition to her parents, Edward and Ada Hoopes Stevenson, Dottie is preceded in death by her husband, John James Covington who passed in 1981, and three siblings, Helen Keeth, Richard Stevenson and Allen Stevenson. She is survived by two children, Shirley (Larry) Tully and Eileen (Philip) Cerami, five grandchildren, Bill (Kellie) Tully, John, Philip, Diana and Andrea Cerami, great-grandchild, Christina (Greg) Wothers, great great grandchild, Harper Wothers, and a sister, Betty Boyd. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 10:00-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
