Obituary of Thomas A. Albertson

Thomas A. "Tom" Albertson Sr., age 88 of Glen Mills, PA died on January 29, 2018. Thomas was born to the late Andrew and Mary Edna Mingle Albertson in Philadelphia and raised in the Stonehurst section of Upper Darby. He has resided for the past 3 years in Glen Mills, PA previously residing in North Port, FL and Gradyville, PA where he raised his family. Tom graduated from Upper Darby High School, class of 1949, and later served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a Finance Director for Piasecki/Boeing for 40 years retiring in 1989. A member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, he also belonged to the American Legion. An avid golfer, Tom also enjoyed scuba diving and dancing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Robert Albertson. Thomas is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy M. Saunders Albertson, 6 children, Maryann (Nicholas) Bonaventure, Karen (Hal) Rivera, Patricia (Robert) Gilday, Tom Albertson Jr., Robert (Pamela) Albertson and Nancy (John) Ibach, 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday 6:00-8:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 11:30AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (New Church), 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA. Interment will remain private. Donations in his memory may be made to American Legion (www.legion.org).
