Obituary of Mary R. Travaglini

Mary R. Travaglini, age 92 of South Philadelphia, PA died on February 1, 2017. Born to the late Joseph & Angelina Giovanetti DelVecchio, Mary was raised and resided in South Philadelphia all of her life. Mary worked in Social Services at St. Agnes Hospital for many years before her retirement. A member of Holy Spirit Church, she was active in her community volunteering for St. Agnes Hospital & the Center for the Aging on S. Broad St.. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed reading and also trips to the A/C Casinos. She also had a passion for singing and was known for her great sense of humor. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Travaglini who died in 1998 and 4 siblings, Gary, John, Joseph & Grace DelVecchio. She is survived by 2 sons, Philip Travaglini and his wife Patricia & Joseph Travaglini & his wife Gina, 5 grandchildren, Philip (Jennifer), Anthony, Nicholas, Christopher & Vincent Travaglini, 3 great grandchildren, Philip, Ava & Dominic and a sister-in-law, Rosemarie DelVecchio. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, 10:00-11:00AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1845 Hartranft St., Phila., PA 19145 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Interment S.S.
