Obituary of Mary Marcella Crockett

Mary Marcella Crockett, 94 of Newark, DE died on January 29, 2017 at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital. Born in Nolan, WV, she resided for over 20 years in Newark, DE, previously residing in Chester, PA. A homemaker, Mary retired from Elwyn Institute where she was a counselor. In her early years, she was a seamstress for Briner Brothers. During WWII she came from WV to work in the war effort as a munitions inspector, married, and remained in the area. Mary enjoyed gardening and was known for her flowers & her yard.. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pearlie and Daisy Duncan Marcum, husband, Joseph Crockett who died in 1972, siblings, Carl, Pearlie Jr., Marlin and Kelly Marcum, Louise Smith & Marie Herald Hatfield. She is survived by 2 daughters, Carol (John) Taylor and Gloria (Dennis) Mushinski, 2 sisters, Thelma Jean Sparks and Geneva Tyson, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, from 10:00-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by Funeral services at 11:00AM.
