Obituary of Frank J. Miglionico

Frank J. Miglionico Sr., age 90, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pittston, PA, Frank grew up in North and South West Philadelphia area, and eventually moved to Aston, PA. After settling into their permanent home in Fox Hill Farms Community in Garnet Valley, Frank and his wife lived there for 18 years. At only the age of 17, Frank enlisted himself into the Navy and fought during WWII and the Korean War. Frank was very proud of his military achievements, and was decorated with many medals. For 28 years, Frank worked at the Elwyn Industry as a Director of Operations. Frank was an avid golfer all his life, and was known for his golf coaching and custom clubs. Frank was a devout catholic and belonged to the St. Thomas the Apostle Church. He served on the board of directors of Fox Hill Farms for 8 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Angelina Miglionico, sisters; Grace Hatzell and Rosemary Townsend, and son Frank J. Miglionico Jr. He is survived and missed by his wife Catherine (Roddy) Miglionico, daughters; Deborah Miglionico (James MacDonald), Diana Shiraishi (Toru), and Darlene Dolan (Richard), daughter-in-law Cathie Miglionico, brothers; Anthony, Charles, and Martin Miglionico, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frank's Funeral Mass on Friday, December 9, 11AM, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd, Glen Mills, PA (NEW CHURCH) where friends may call from 10AM-11AM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Frank's name can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
