Obituary of S. Graham Deakyne

S. Graham Deakyne, 88 of Glen Mills, PA died peacefully at home on September 3, 2016 surrounded by his family. Born in Upland and raised in Chester, PA, he resided for the past 18 years in Fox Hill Farms and a resident of Glen Mills for over 50 years. Graham was employed as the president of Krell Corp and vice president of sales and personnel at H.L. Yoh, retiring in 1992. He graduated from Chester High School class of 1946 and then served in the Air Force during WWII. He continued his education and graduated from PMC and continued taking courses at Temple University where he received his masters degree in engineering. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and former member of the Elk's Lodge. Graham enjoyed playing cards, golfing and all sports but most importantly spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, George F. and Edyth T. Bennett Deakyne, wife, Nancy Van Horn Deakyne who died in 1996 and brothers, Dean and George Jr.. Graham is survived by his children, Teddee (David) Woodworth, Bonni (Gary) Rule, Sherri (Jim) Gilligan and Michael Deakyne, devoted companion of 18 years, Norma Jean Rearden and her sons, William, James and Jeffery, also 14 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Wednesday, 1:30PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA where friends may call from 12:30-1:30PM. Interment is private. Donations in his memory may be made to Camp Hill Village, P.O. Box 1045, Kimberton, PA 19442.
