Obituary of Joseph W. Grear

Joseph W. Grear Sr., age 70 of Marcus Hook, PA died suddenly on August 22, 2016. Born to the late David & Alice Bennington Grear, he was raised in Trainer, PA. A 1964 graduate from Eddystone High, he has resided the past 50 years in Marcus Hook, PA. Joseph was a Plant Manager at Ridley Precision Tool Co. for 47 years retiring in 2013. He was a devoted husband, father & grandfather, coaching sports for 30 years in Marcus Hook. He served as president for many years on the Marcus Hook Recreation Board. In addition to sports, he also had a passion for boating, fishing & crabbing. Joseph is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Cheeseman Grear, 4 children, Joseph W. (Nadine) Grear Jr., Robert W. (Diane) Grear, William A. Grear & Beth A. (Donald) Curry, 3 brothers, David C. Jr., Robert L. & James M. Grear and 4 grandchildren, Melanie, Abigail, Riley & Ryan. His viewing will be held Thursday, 7-9PM and also Friday, 1-2PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA. Funeral services will follow Friday, 2:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
