Obituary of Jeremy C. Mathews

Jeremy C. Mathews, 44, of South Orange, N.J., died suddenly on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Born in Chester, Pa., Jeremy had lived in metropolitan New York for 21 years with the last four being in South Orange, N.J. He graduated from Temple University in 1994 with a B.A. in journalism. He was senior vice president and group partner, Integrated Investment for Universal McCann, New York City. He leaves behind his devoted partner of 15 years, Christopher Crews. Jeremy was the beloved son of Dale R. Mathews and the late Jamie Hallman Mathews; loving brother of Elizabeth Gundaker (the late Elwood); Cheryl Persing (James), and Dale R. Mathews Jr. (Gloria). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jeremy's passions included traveling and spending time with family including special friends, Michelle Lomuscio and Sharon Hopkins. His visitation will be held on Sunday Evening, 7-9PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA 19060 and again on Monday from 9:00AM to 9:30AM. Services will follow Monday at 9:30AM at the funeral home. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. Memorial donations may be made to Shriner's or St. Jude's Hospitals.
